Welcome to the Summer 2008 Newsletter
Apologies for the long delay since the last official newsletter, but since Christmas we've been snowed under (excuse the pun) with a whole range of new development work and services.
2008 is already shaping up to be one of our most successful years, so we're delighted to tell you about some of the things keeping us busy right now, as well as some recent updates.
New SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Programme
We've recently launched a new SEO Programme, designed to maximise your site's effectiveness in the Search Engines (primarily Google). A 4-phase process, it includes Keyword Research and Competitor Analysis, On-Page Technical Optimisation, On Page Content Copywriting and an In-Bound Link Building Campaign.
Each phase of the SEO programme results in a formal report, and where relevant, further recommendations and advice. The NSDesign SEO programme has been designed to allow a flexible approach to optimisation, allowing you to pick and choose which of the 4 phases you wish to employ.

New Team Member
We're delighted to introduce Paul Elliot to the NSDesign team. Paul has a background in creative web design, and his skills cover the development of creative visual concepts, flash animation, user friendly interface design and accessible, compliant web development using CSS and XHTML technologies. He also specialises in search engine optimisation. I hope you’ll make him welcome.
New Web Design and Development Projects
Our development team is busier than ever, working on a wide range of projects for clients large and small. Recently completed sites include a competition micro-site, an online shoe-shop, a Scottish Specialty Foods exporter, and a site for a UK Police conference.
Currently under development include a Business to Business Social Networking Platform, 2 ecommerce stores selling childrens clothes, a bespoke Travel Agency site, and a dedicated portal for the National Headteachers of Scotland.

Web Server Upgrades
As part of our long term strategy for continuous improvement in hardware and network performance, we're currently in the process of upgrading a number of older servers to top of the range, high specification machines, which will result in faster access, and greater reliability. We do not anticipate any downtime as a result of these upgrades, and affected customers will be emailed and kept fully in the loop.
Go Green – Thanks!
A massive thanks to all of you who are supporting our Go Green initiative, and partnering with us to help protect the environment. Our close relationship with the Tree Appeal organisation, means that we are currently in the process of nominating actual Tree Planting Locations, so we can actually specify where the many trees you are helping us to buy will be planted.

Read the Blog
As many of you have already found, our new Blog is the source of all "unofficial" news, thoughts and random snippets from the NSDesign team. Have a read, and as always, we welcome any comments and contributions.

We won't leave it so long until the next update, when we'll update you on the forthcoming launch of NSBuilder 2.0 - something we're all very excited about here! In the meantime – get in touch via the website – we’d love to hear from you on any of the above issues.
Thanks again for your continued support.
